HAVE QUESTIONS?

Adoption Scrapbooking

Adoption Scrapbooking: What a wonderful way to let your adopted child know how special they are and where they came from than through an Album for that specially selected child.

The formulas for actually laying out a page or a 2-page layout for scapbooking your child's adoption process would be the same as any scrapbooking layout. What I would like to provide here is a few suggestions about what to have as the basic topics for some of those layouts.

You can approach Adoption Scrapbooking 2 ways. You can include the pages in your regular chronological family scrapbook or you can devote an entire book to this particular topic.

Or you could do a combination of both - tell the summary in the chronological family book and then tell all the details in the themed book.

You could also make a special copy of the Album pages for little hands to have all for themselves? Make some color copies of the original pages and put them in sheet protectors and allow your child to have the book all to themselves to read and look any time they want and maybe even show their friends.

Did you have to travel to get your child? Whether local, long distance or even to another country, show the physical distance with a map or maps. How did you travel? By car, train, airplane or a combination of travel methods. Did you go to a foreign country and end taking some new method of travel - a scary wild taxi ride or some mode of transportation that was not so modern.

How may trips did it take? As parents, did you both go together or was there a trip that only one of you made?

Did some kind "angel" bring you your child?

We will have specific ideas and products related to Scrapbooking the Adoption of that special child available for you shortly.
